Bavarian-Style Pretzels & Mustard with Vicky Dunn & Kara Grupp

45.00

It's hard to top a well-made Bavarian-style soft pretzel and mustard - both so rich in flavor & texture.  Join us for this hands-on workshop and learn how to create these culinary classics in your own home kitchen.

Vicky Dunn will teach a fun and simple method for making pretzels (no lye is used in this process, although she will provide verbal instruction on the lye method).  She will cover the process from start to finish, instruct on proper shaping technique, provide a recipe, and even send you home with a fresh & delicious pretzel.

It's hard to talk pretzels without talking mustard, so we'll cover that as well!  Kara Grupp, of Three Pines Farm, will provide educational background on the big, wide world of mustards, and we will prepare a batch as a group in class.  We will make an Old World mustard recipe that is an authentic replica of the sweet-style mustard that is served at any Biergarten in Bavaria.  Students will be provided with a recipe, and a small sample of freshly-made mustard.

We'll end the class with a delicious pretzel & mustard tasting - BYOB if you like!
